Progetto Italica Corso di Lingua
The language course for foreigners created for the Progetto Italica is the fruit of a collaboration between RAI International a division of the Italian national television corporation (RAI) and a working group made up of teachers of Italian language and literature, and researchers and computer specialists from the University of Notre Dame (Devers Program in Dante Studies) and the University of Chicago (ARTFL). The course is constituted by an archive of original video made available by the RAI and integrated textual materials linked to the videos utilizing the possibilities of hypertext mark-up language (HTML). Access to the video courseware is restricted to project participants. Il corso di lingua italiana per stranieri creato per il Progetto Italica è il risultato della collaborazione tra RAI International ed un gruppo di lavoro composto da docenti di lingua e letteratura italiana, ricercatori e tecnici informatici dell'Università di Notre Dame (Devers Program in Dante Studies) e dell'Università di Chicago (ARTFL). Il corso è costituito da un archivio di materiale video originale, messo a disposizione dalla RAI, e da testi collegati tra loro ed ai video-clip sfruttando le possibilità del linguaggio HTML. L'accesso ai materiali del corso è limitato ai collaboratori.

Viewing instructions for project participants

To view the video clips which form the basis of each of the lesson units, you will need to have the QuickTime plug-in installed on your computer (check your browser plug-in list). If your computer does not have it, you can download it for free by clicking here and choosing the configuration that suits your hardware.

The videos will begin to play automatically once the network has delivered a certain portion of the video (start times will vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and network traffic).
