Pliny Fisk's Death

On October 23, 1825, at the early age of 33, Pliny Fisk died in Beirut, Lebanon. We know that he fell ill and suffered from an extremely severe fever, which was the cause of his death. On his death bead, Fisk never once lost faith in God and Fisk continued to praise God even after Fisk knew that his death was immanent. Hours before his death, Fisk finished an "English and Arabic Dictionary" that he had been working on for years. He was not the only missionary in his family; his niece, Fidelia, spent fifteen years in Persia working as a female missionary and as a teacher in a female seminary.
