St. Louis

The bulk of our information on Justus Post comes to us via the Missouri Historical Society. Richard Gentry, a descendant of Justus, compiled selections from his letters home upon the occasion of the letters' donation to the Historical Society. His intent was to provide a look at the early days of St. Louis. Mr. Gentry contacted Middlebury College with request about Justus's student records, and then mailed the College a copy of his paper.
