Pluck and Luck: Complete Stories of Adventure

Published by Frank Tousey's publishing house in New York City, Pluck and Luck featured "Complete Stories of Adventure." Narratives of the frontier were particularly common, but historical narratives of war and adventure also appeared. The publication's title reflects the popularity of the Horatio Alger myth at the turn of the century. Pluck and Luck was remarkably long-lived, continuing to be published until 1929 in spite of competition from movies and other print media.
