 Summary

1871-1944

1944

Surprisingly little change occurred in the 73 years since the last photo. The change that did occur was the two industrial developments and the residential development on Lower Plains Road. The north extension from Main Street was also developed during this time.

1944-1962

1962

Two main changes occurred between 1944 and 1962: the sub-development north of the village on Route 116 and another extension north off of Main Street.

1962-1974

1974

The development between 1962 and 1974 consisted of an extension and sub-development south off of Main Street, a new industrial development to the northeast of the village center, and more development associated with the previous industrial development north off of Main Street.

1974-1978

1978

Two sub-developments occured between 1974 and 1978: a sub-development northeast of the village center and an extension and sub-development off of Lower Plains Road.

1978-1996

1996

The development in the 18 years between 1978 and 1996 was on the whole somewhat dispersed but associated with the continuation of previous development projects. New commercial development along Route 7 became apparent, while the sub-development northeast of the center and areas further south on Lower Plains Road continued to grow. Further development of the village center also took place during this time period.
