Left for Thurso at 8:50. Reached Thurso about 1:00 and stopped at the “Royal Hotel.” We went for a walk in the afternoon.
The next morning about 9:00 we motored to John O’Groats. It is a very bleak spot with only about two houses and the hotel shown below.
