This diary begins
with William D. Crane and his family departing New York on a steamship
to France. In France, they visit Paris and tour the city- stopping
at the Arc De Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, and other main tourist
attractions. Aside from sightseeing they also shop and dine out.
After France, the family makes their way to Scottland by way of
the Kings Cross Railway. They arrive in Dornoch where the family
plays much golf and tennis and wanders the countryside on bike and
foot. Throughout their travels, Crane and his family visit several
family friends. Crane documents the trip with a collection of pictures.
