Sunny and Carol in Windmere |
Sunny, far right, with her friends; all appear ladylike. |
Sunny wears a very feminine dress, with a bow as though she is on display. The color of the dress suggests her childish innocence.
|
Sunny use of a bike suggests a certain independence. |

Sunny takes on a maternal role with her brother Leicester, which was common for and expected from girls her age. |
Again, even as a child, part of Sunny's leisure time was dedicated to taking care of her younger siblings. Young girls were often required to fulfill duties while their male counterparts were granted greater freedom.
