Blind-Man's Buff was a popular game in which children were to guess the identity of those hovering around him while blindfolded. It is important to note the setting in which girls and boys played this old-fashioned game. As seen in the drawing, girls were instructed to play indoors in a calm, domesticated fashion [2].
Boys were permitted to be boisterous and rebellious in their version of the game [4]. As depicted in the drawing, boys were expected to play a more animated version of Blind-Man's Buff outdoors.
