These soldiers represent American West Point Cadets in full military dress along with a few inaccurate details, including, moustaches and epaulettes.

 

United States Infantrymen, ca 1890-1900

The US Army adopted the spiked helmet in the 1880’s and it was phased out by 1900.

Mounted French Cuirassiers, ca 1890-1900

This unit was named for the cuirass, breastplate armor, worn by its soldiers. This, along with a plumed helmet, was a part of the French Cuirassiers uniform until the beginning of World War I. Being a member of this regiment was considered a great honor.
