Ashmun's letter to Reverend Stillman, 1814

In the letter, Ashmun informs Stillman that he has resumed his studies at Middlebury College. The tone of the letter is one of religious fervor, reflecting both Ashmun's personal religious temperament and the generally fervent religious sensibility of many New Englanders in the early nineteenth century.
