LONELINESS
|

|
- Marco's gone away and he won't come back
anymore
- Without him the 7:30 train
- Is only a metal heart
without a soul
- In the cold of a gray city morning
- At school
the desk is empty, Marco is inside me
- His breath is sweet among my
thoughts.
- Huge distances seem to divide us,
- But my heart
beats quickly inside me
-
- Who knows if you'll think
about me,
- If you ever speak with your parents,
- If you hide
yourself as I do:
- You shun their looks and you lock yourself
- In your room and you don't want
- To eat and you hug your pillow
close to you
- You don't know how to cry
- Nor how much more the
loneliness will hurt you
-
- Marco, in my diary I have a
picture:
- You have the eyes of a child who's a little shy.
- I
hold it close to my heart and I feel you're here
- Between my English
and math homework.
- Your father and his advice: what a bore!
- He took you away with his job.
- Surely he never asked your
opinion;
- He said: "One day you will understand me"
-
- Who knows if you'll think about me,
- If you'll
speak with friends
- So you won't suffer over me anymore.
- But
it's not easy, you know.
- At school I can't stand it anymore;
- And in the afternoons, without you,
- Studying is useless: all my
thoughts crowd around you.
-
- It's not possible
- To
separate our lives.
- Please, wait for me,
- My love, but I can't
deceive you!
-
- The loneliness between us,
- This
silence inside me
- Is the anxiety of having to live
- Life
without you.
- Please, wait for me because
- I cannot live
without you.
- It's not possible to divide our love.
