Mind, which, when young, is more susceptible of good impressions, than at any other period. That praying in school in the morning, and at closing is very convenient. That the Masters were forbidden to pray in School, it was no argument it; for Daniel was forbidden to pray by a wicked court, and yet he prayed and God approved his conduct: and the Apostles were forbidden to preach by the Jewish Senate; yet they chose to play God rather than man.
It was said that Christ had a school and prayed with them. That the Apostle Paul commands not only parents but Masters to train up those under their care “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”
It was finally decided in favor the affirmative by the unanimous vote of the Society.
