August 19, 1802:
The trustees voted Mr. Storrs and Mr. Matthews "be a committee
to inspect the College building, and assess the damages done to
the rooms, halls, and any part of the house; and that they assess
[^a] tax on all the students who reside in the College of a sum,
not exceeding ten cents per quarter yearly cash, to pay for sweeping,
unless the students shall by some means keep the College clean." |

August 18, 1803:
Once again, Mr. Storrs and Mr. Matthews are directed "to inspect
the rooms in the college, assess the damages done thereto, and make
out & a bill of the same to the President, to be annexed to
the greater bills of the students." |
