We had a very nice lunch at which M- was present.
After lunch I read a book called "The Invisible Man" which is very good. I got it from the ship’s library.
I met a very nice man and we talked for about a half hour. He came from out west somewhere.
It is not at all rough and mother is still on deck feeling alright.
A Frenchman just came up to me and said something about “bibliothéque.” I inferred that he wanted to know where the library was so I pointed over my shoulder and said “lá.” He looked bewildered and said “O oui!”
