The Diaries of
William D. Crane maintained travel diaries containing two different occasions throughout the course of his life. The difference in his writing between the two diaries clearly indicates that he is older and wiser than in his first accounts. Crane goes from golfing with “Dadie” in his first diary to preparing and training for battle his second.
