The JSL CD-ROMs that accompany the Japanese: The Spoken Language textbook require QuickTime 2.1.2 in order to be used on computers running the Windows operating system. These CDs will not work on Windows computers with current version of QuickTime.

Unfortunately if you attempt to simply install QuickTime 2.1.2, it will remove the current version of QuickTime and you will not be able to access many media files on Middlebury websites (and on the web in general).

There is a way to install this older version of QuickTime that will not delete the new version. We have done limited testing of this installation and have not found any problems. To download QuickTime 2.1.2 together with instructions for this special installation see:
