Links General Index: The Crossroads Project The Crossroads Project is an international project on technology and education, sponsored by the American Studies Association, focusing on the creation of resources to help faculty incorporate the use of new media into teaching of culture and history. The Crossroads Project has three primary goals: 1) to create a comprehensive online resource for the global study of American culture; 2) to help faculty and students make the best use of new technologies in the study of culture, history, and the humanities; and 3) to assist in charting the future of American culture studies in an era of electronic resources and collaboration. The Crossroads website, hosted by Georgetown University, provides an electronic index to the field of American Studies and a centralized resources for a vast range of information and materials relating to American Studies communities, courses of study, teaching practices, research, and integration of technology in the curriculum.
