This site consists of an interactive proposal to reduce Middlebury College's carbon emissions through the installation of alternative energy resources.

Preliminary research reveals that the Middlebury College Snow Bowl would provide an excellent location to install wind turbines. The wind energy produced from these turbines should be directed toward the Snow Bowl and should replace the nonrenewable electricity inflow currently purchased from the power grid.

The College should conduct a professional feasibility study of the wind resources available at the Snow Bowl in order to select the most suitable turbine. This study should be supplemented by an environmental impact statement (EIS).
