SEARSBURG, VERMONT

The Searsburg wind farm in southern Vermont has 11 turbines which generate electricity for Green Mountain Power. In 1998, Searsburg, as the only installed facility in the state, generated 6,050 kWh of power. Overall, Vermont has the potential to generate 6 million megawatt-hours (mWh) of electricity per year.
