Motion Path

Another way of animating is with paths. Paths allow for more control over complicated movement.

Tutorial
1. Open path.fla from the tutorial images you downloaded (see: Download)

2. Play the animation. Hide the path layer to see the animation without the path. Then move the playback head to frame 1.

3. Drag the yellow box down and away from the motion path. Then turn on snapping (the magnet symbol)

4. Drag the yellow box from its center (you should see a black circle in its center). back on to the motion path. This is how a object is attached to a motion path
5. Create a new layer and object and 2 keyframes.

6. Double-click on any frame between and choose Tweening > motion. Close frame properties

7. Choose Insert > Motion guide. Using the pencil, draw a line representing the motion path.

8. Choose your first keyframe and put the center of your object on the beginning of the motion path. Choose the last keyframe and put your object on the end of the motion path. Play the animation
